Facebook for PROFIT Part 2 - Create an Effective Landing Page!

Round 2
Easy Parts Over Time to Engage!

So now you understand the basics of creating an effective Facebook ad. If not please read my previous post to help you gain a better understanding. After you have applied those tips to your new ads and your traffic is going through the roof what happens now? You CAPITALIZE on the new traffic! The only way I know how to capitalize on traffic is by creating an engaging user experience. Ideally you want the user coming back multiple times and more importantly talking about your page or business on their own Facebook! You not only gain a follower but by having an engaging page you gain a Social Media Marketer! Making sure this customer keeps coming back is the key to increasing your profits! What happens if they don't use your service the first time they came to your page, but they had a good time and will continue to frequent your page! NOTHING, but now you will have someone marketing for you and most likely in the future when they need YOUR service you will be the first business in mind!

Facebook For PROFIT Part 1 - A Breakdown Of Ads!

Hello Again!

So I wanted to continue on the social media networks train and help everyone help themselves a little bit. Instead of wasting time on Facebook let's look at ways to make your Facebook turn a profit for your business. We all spend way to much time on the infamous Facebook, most of which does not produce any profit for our business. This will be a multipost topic starting out with Facebook Ads. No matter the reason, whether your ads aren't catchy enough or you spend too much time adding friends instead of adding value to your page, you will be able to take some of these Facebook tips and apply them to your page. Remember you created your business page to increase revenue and if you don't know where to start or how to continue, you won't be adding much value to anything! So lets break it down and see how to make Facebook stop wasting our time and energy and use it as a business tool instead!

Social Media Networks! Panda's New Best Friend!

Since Google's Panda update a lot of things have changed in SEO. One thing the Panda update loves is connectivity between websites. Most importantly social media networks. Google wants to see your website being mentioned in tweets and being liked on Facebook. Think back to when you setup your Facebook and it asked if you would like to be searchable in search engines like Google and Yahoo. Google and other search engines have connected the internet like never before. Now in order to be at the top of the list with the new Panda update Google wants you to have a strong presence with fresh content on social media networks. So in this blog I will go over some tips on how to create a social media presence.

Website Design - Make it easy to look at!

Hello Thursday!

So now that I've written a couple posts on SEO I wanted to talk about something that is just as important. Web Site Design! So you have the basic SEO tips and tricks down right? Of Course, but that's only half the battle. If your website is poorly setup, hard to navigate, or just full of ads nobody is going to want to stay on your website and more importantly come back! Think of it this way, you would never want to watch television if it was all commercials, same in that you would never read a magazine if it was all ads. If you're using your website as an informative website I would suggest a 75/25 content to ad ratio that way your visitor doesn't get overwhelmed and feel like they are simply trying to be sold. Yet, you are really trying to provide them with helpful information.

Curveball #2. SEO Help On The infamous Google "Panda" Algorithm

Continuing on the topic of Search Engine Optimization I wanted to talk about a recent change that has effected millions of internet marketers, affiliate websites, and even SEO as a profession. Google decided to change the way their search engine algorithm worked for many reasons. People were exploiting the index bots Google uses by tricking them into thinking sites were relevant to searches when they were not as relevant as the common user would like. Which for a consumer is a wonderful thing for but a netrepeneur, as I like to call them, a death trap. There previous ways of creating back-links and keyword data have become obsolete. Here are a couple tips to say on top of Google's new Panda algorithm and keep your site rising in the ranks!

Here's a Curveball! Search Engine Optimization!

I wanted to switch up this post a little. My two previous posts were about creating logos. Of course you can use these logos for anything but most likely they would be used for a website or blog. What good does it do if nobody can find your website? Every time I search Google I get millions of results and thousands of pages. If you're like me you probably never go passed the third or fourth page before changing your keywords. Here are a few tips to improve your ranking on Google and other search engines. These are just some tips to apply to your current website but just these tips alone won't get you to the front page on Google, but it's a start!

Welcome! The Beginning of a Journey!

Hello,

This is my Blog to end all Blogs! I am starting this blog as a resource for myself as well as a resource for people learning the in's and out's of graphic design, multimedia production, and web development. I will be going over old and new techniques that will improve my skills and hopefully everyone reading. I am no expert on this stuff so I will try and make these techniques and skills as easy to understand as possible. A little bio about myself, I am a student working towards my Computer Information Systems Major and plan to minor in Business. I have always been a tech guy despite my love for sports. I was always the kid taking apart things just to put them back together. It developed into a love for electronics and computers. I began working as a computer tech for White Oak Plantation then later the University of North Florida. Lately I have transitioned to the graphics and multimedia side of technology. I have started creating fliers and videos for companies and have started to really enjoy working on different projects. I hope this blog helps you as much as it will help me. Please feel free to comment or request any ideas you might have. I will be working with the Adobe Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash), Sony Vegas Pro, as well as the Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher.) Welcome to my blog and I hope you enjoy the ride!
