Social Media Networks! Panda's New Best Friend!

Since Google's Panda update a lot of things have changed in SEO. One thing the Panda update loves is connectivity between websites. Most importantly social media networks. Google wants to see your website being mentioned in tweets and being liked on Facebook. Think back to when you setup your Facebook and it asked if you would like to be searchable in search engines like Google and Yahoo. Google and other search engines have connected the internet like never before. Now in order to be at the top of the list with the new Panda update Google wants you to have a strong presence with fresh content on social media networks. So in this blog I will go over some tips on how to create a social media presence.

One thing to remember when using Social Media Networks to promote your business is people like to shop because shopping and purchasing things brings a sense of euphoria and happiness. However, people like to buy on their own terms! Nobody likes being pestered over and over or forced into buying something they didn't want or need. You have to relate this to your presence on these media outlets. Instead of constantly saying how great your deals are make your page have actual value. Engage your friends and followers by asking questions or starting polls. Instead of saying everything is 50% off, have a contest that allows a follower to win a coupon or credit towards your services.

Think about how you act as a person and apply your people skills to your page. In person you want to be inviting and engaging instead of being pushy. You want your page to feel the same way. You want people to enjoy reading your tweets and most importantly re-tweeting them.

Creating a strong presence on Social Media Networks will help you come back from the Panda update. Just be sure to have original content and engage  your friends and followers as you would in person.

Thanks!
