Easy Parts Over Time to Engage!

So now you understand the basics of creating an effective Facebook ad. If not please read my previous post to help you gain a better understanding. After you have applied those tips to your new ads and your traffic is going through the roof what happens now? You CAPITALIZE on the new traffic! The only way I know how to capitalize on traffic is by creating an engaging user experience. Ideally you want the user coming back multiple times and more importantly talking about your page or business on their own Facebook! You not only gain a follower but by having an engaging page you gain a Social Media Marketer! Making sure this customer keeps coming back is the key to increasing your profits! What happens if they don't use your service the first time they came to your page, but they had a good time and will continue to frequent your page! NOTHING, but now you will have someone marketing for you and most likely in the future when they need YOUR service you will be the first business in mind! 

First Impressions are EVERYTHING!

Make sure your customer feels special when coming to your site for the first time. Nobody wants to walk into a store and be ignored. We can all agree it is a much better feeling walking into a store and being greeted 3 or 4 times and questioned as to why we are there or how they can help. Facebook is becoming more like real life in this aspect. Facebook automatically sends new visitors to your wall! This is a no no because it doesn't force the user to be engaged! Thankfully Facebook allows you to have the new user directed to any of your tabbed pages. We want the new user to come to a welcoming landing page that creates a unique experience right away! Design a custom landing page for your business to increase interactivity. On this page thank the customer for visiting, make them feel good about clicking your link! Give them a little information about the company so their trust grows. Add a question or two from a drop down menu so you know a little more about your followers. A list with user given activities is a powerful marketing tool in the right hands! 

           The Blur raises so many questions! 
The landing page is a your chance to captivate your audience. One simple way to get someone's attention in today's economy is to offer a discount. Everybody loves spending LESS money! A great way to entice the customer to click the Like button is to state "Incredible Offers and Deals for Our Followers. Like Saving Money? Click "Like" to Start!" Some people would stop here and think that's a sufficient landing page. It's Not! You could easily take it a step further by blurring the details of the deals that followers receive (see above picture). The user's curiosity level will rise and literally force them to click just to see what you're offering. We as humans love INSTANT GRATIFICATION and this landing page satisfies our desires! Discounts and sales aren't the only way to ensure a customer Likes your page. Another incentive for joining could be a useful guide or document that they receive for following your page. Make sure what you're giving them is high quality that way they actually benefit from receiving your free gift. Nothing is worse than thinking you're getting something for free and it turning out to be a piece of junk! These are just a couple of tips to create an effective landing page. Use trial and error to figure out what triggers us to become "Like" Happy!
