Facebook For PROFIT Part 1 - A Breakdown Of Ads!

Hello Again!

So I wanted to continue on the social media networks train and help everyone help themselves a little bit. Instead of wasting time on Facebook let's look at ways to make your Facebook turn a profit for your business. We all spend way to much time on the infamous Facebook, most of which does not produce any profit for our business. This will be a multipost topic starting out with Facebook Ads. No matter the reason, whether your ads aren't catchy enough or you spend too much time adding friends instead of adding value to your page, you will be able to take some of these Facebook tips and apply them to your page. Remember you created your business page to increase revenue and if you don't know where to start or how to continue, you won't be adding much value to anything! So lets break it down and see how to make Facebook stop wasting our time and energy and use it as a business tool instead!

FACEBOOK ADS!

Where to start with Facebook ads. The ads tool when used properly can quickly and easily increase business presence and increase website traffic. You can do multiple things with ads. Ads aren't just limited to taking you back to your Facebook Page they can also redirect straight to a web page of your choice, as well as build event awareness and increase sales during promotions. So if you're using ads to build a brand identity and create a presence on Facebook you would have your ad redirect to your Facebook page. On the other end of the ad spectrum you may have a strong presence and simply want to drive more traffic straight to your webpage! If more website traffic is your goal, simply have your ad link to your website instead of your Facebook page. Here are a couple tips on Ads that will increase traffic and increase your return on investment. Bigger ROI means bigger AD BUDGET which means more customers!

1. Have A Plan!

  • The reason ad campaigns fail is because of a marketers failure to plan! You need to understand what your goals are and make sure they are realistic! If your goal is to gain presence do it! Stick to your goals until they are attained!
2. Select an ad design that fits your goal!
  • Sponsored stories (ads promoting conversations going on in your news feed or on your page) are best used when you already have a strong presence as these ads are directed to your CURRENT followers!
  • Facebook ads are able to be targeted to viewers based on there location, age, activities and everything else under the moon. These are great for directing specific users to your website or growing your presence by sending them to your page.

3. Targeting! BE PRECISE

  • When I think of targeting I think of sniper rifle. People who think shot gun fail simply because there are too many people on Facebook
  • Instead of selecting an Audience from Football, Computers, Art, Hunting, and Sewing. You want to be as specific as possible and create a precise audience. For example; Hunting, Likes 2 Hunt, Deer Hunting, Duck Hunting, Black powder, Muzzle-loader. Your ads will be much more successful when targeting a specific audience instead of a large one.
4. Make It Pretty On The Eyes!
  • It is a must to have a picture in your ad. Studies have shown that ads with pictures are 70% more likely to be engaged. Make sure your image is high resolution!
  • A picture says a thousand words... but you still need text on your ad. Your text should make the customer become intrigued and want to click Like or your link. For example instead of putting "We have the best deals on the net, check us out!" try something more engaging similar to "Check out the best deals on the net, explore today and see why customers keep coming back!"
  • You should never use Affiliate links in your ads. Having a long link with multiple letters and numbers   can easily scare someone from clicking. Use a PHP redirect on your website to cloak your link so customers have no fear when clicking your ad.

These are quality tips to get your ad campaign started. Remember to constantly test your ads with multiple variations. Just running one ad will not ensure success. More importantly than finding the perfect ad you need to engage customers once they come to your page or website. Give them an incentive to keep coming back. If they come to your page and never come back it's very unlikely you will profit from that follower. Even if some posts are off-topic compared to your business just keep content fresh and engaging.

Getting someone to click your ad is just the beginning, what you do from that point decides whether or not you will make a profit! Come back as my next post will be about Facebook engagement and keeping those followers coming back!

Thanks!
